Mission Statement

The Oakville / Mississauga CAER Group recognizes the need and the right of the public to know the risks associated with the manufacturing, storage, handling, and transportation of chemicals within the cities of Oakville and Mississauga.

Our objectives are to have a better informed public regarding chemicals and a community emergency response plan for the handling of emergencies.

By fostering open communications between industry, the municipalities and the community, the participating members of the group are committed to building community awareness of the chemical industry and to alleviate any misconceptions or concerns the public may have about the industry.
